You’ve collected your bags, but you still need to reach the rental counter. To take the MIA Mover to the Rental Car Center, follow the airport’s purple MIA Mover signs toward level 3. The Mover is the airport’s people-mover train, and it connects the terminal with the rental facility.

The airport places the MIA Mover station on the third level between the Dolphin and Flamingo garages. Use the third-level Skyride—the airport’s name for its moving walkways—to reach it. Save those landmarks on your phone so you have something more useful to follow than just a rental-company name.

Before you head over, check the pickup location on your confirmation against the airport’s list of companies at the Rental Car Center. These directions are for a pickup at that facility; if your confirmation names a different location, get the transfer instructions directly from your supplier rather than assuming the same route applies.

Once you reach the center, follow your company’s instructions to its counter. For example, Enterprise’s official MIA page directs arriving renters to take the Mover and then find Enterprise on the fourth level. That’s an Enterprise-specific detail, not a floor assignment to assume for every company.

There’s one important distinction if your flight arrives late: an open building doesn’t necessarily mean an open rental counter. The airport says the Rental Car Center is open 24 hours, but some operators close between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. Confirm your supplier’s pickup hours directly, and ask what to do if a flight delay pushes you past closing.

For your return, save the Rental Car Center driving-directions link available on the airport’s rental-car page, along with your supplier’s return instructions. Treat the drive back and the transfer to the terminal as separate steps when planning your departure. You’ll have the right destination ready instead of trying to sort out airport navigation while you’re on the road.
