LAS Rental Car Return: Plan the Shuttle to Your Terminal

For a LAS rental car return at the Rent-A-Car Center, leave time to unload and take the free shuttle to your departure terminal.

You’ve packed, checked out and pulled up your flight—but does reaching rental car return mean you’re at the terminal? Not at LAS. If your supplier’s return instructions direct you to the airport’s Rent-A-Car Center, your LAS rental car return includes one more step: taking a free shuttle to the terminal.

The airport lists the Rent-A-Car Center at 7135 Gilespie Street, three miles south of the airport. Use your rental company’s return instructions to set your destination, rather than navigating straight to airline departures. Confirm the return location on your agreement, especially if you’re dropping off somewhere different from where you picked up.

Work backward from when you need to be inside your departure terminal—not just from takeoff. Budget separate time for returning the vehicle, unloading, reaching the shuttle, waiting and riding to the airport. The airport confirms that the shuttles are free and run between the terminals and the center, but the supplied guidance doesn’t establish a guaranteed wait or journey time.

Before leaving your hotel, check your airline’s departure terminal and keep that information handy. At the center, check the shuttle’s destination before boarding; if you’re unsure, ask staff. A useful question is, “Is this the shuttle for my departure terminal?” rather than simply, “Does this go to the airport?”

Pack for the transfer as well as the flight. You’ll need to move your belongings from the car onto the shuttle, so keep your ID, phone and flight details accessible instead of burying them in a suitcase. Before walking away from the vehicle, check the trunk, seat pockets, charging ports and any child-seat area for anything you’ve left behind.

If you need boarding assistance, the airport says its entire rental-car shuttle fleet is ADA equipped, meaning it has accessibility equipment, and special loading areas are available at the center and both terminals. The airport lists 702-261-5122 for more information. Ask about the assistance you need before travel, and build your return plan around reaching the terminal—not merely handing back the keys.
