LAS Rental Car Pickup With a Group: Should Everyone Go?

For LAS rental car pickup with a group, plan who needs to visit the counter and where everyone will reunite before you split up.

You’ve landed with friends, several suitcases and one rental reservation. Does LAS rental car pickup with a group mean everyone should head to the counter? Start by checking who your supplier needs present. Then choose between traveling together on the free rental-center shuttle or having some companions head to your accommodation separately.

The airport’s Rent-A-Car Center is at 7135 Gilespie Street, about three miles south of the airport—not beside baggage claim. Free shuttles connect the terminals with the center. That makes your meeting plan worth deciding before anyone walks away with a suitcase or follows a different set of transportation signs.

Keeping everyone together avoids a separate reunion to coordinate. Follow the airport’s rental-car shuttle signs, take your belongings with you and continue to your supplier’s pickup area. Enterprise’s LAS instructions, for example, direct arriving customers from baggage claim to the shuttle, then to its counter at the rental facility. Follow your own supplier’s instructions rather than assuming every company uses the same final step.

Splitting up is another option if some companions would rather continue to the hotel. Before choosing it, ask the rental company exactly who must be present and which documents they’ll need—especially if someone else plans to drive. Keep the required documents and payment method with the person collecting the car. Don’t send a potentially necessary driver across town without checking first.

Companions traveling separately should follow taxi or rideshare signs, not rental-car signs. The airport says taxis are outside baggage claim in both terminals, while Uber and Lyft use designated areas inside the parking garages. At Terminal 1, the rideshare pickup is on Level 2 of the garage. Agree on who is taking each bag, and make sure everyone has the destination address before separating.

If you split up, a clear meeting point at your accommodation can be simpler than improvising a return to the airport. Share the address and a specific spot, and send an update once you have the keys rather than promising a pickup time before reaching the counter. Before leaving the rental facility, check that the assigned car fits your whole group and its luggage—not just the people and bags that came along for pickup. If it doesn’t, ask staff about available alternatives and any price difference.
