LAS rental agreement doesn't match your booking? Check this

If your LAS rental agreement doesn't match your booking, compare the details and ask the rental counter to explain differences before you sign.

You're at the counter, ready for the keys, but the dates, return location or extras on the paperwork look wrong. If your LAS rental agreement doesn't match your booking, pause before signing. Pull up your confirmation and ask the agent to explain each difference rather than assuming it'll sort itself out later.

Make that comparison easy before you fly: save your booking confirmation where you can open it without a connection. Keep the price breakdown and any messages about changes together. Your goal is to have the details you selected in front of you, not to reconstruct them from memory after a flight.

Use the counter handoff as your checkpoint. Enterprise's LAS instructions, for example, direct you to its counter at the Rent-A-Car Center to receive your rental agreement and keys. Before accepting the paperwork, compare the lead driver's name, pickup and return dates, return time and return location with your confirmation.

Next, check the extras you actually want. Avis's LAS page says rental coverage is optional and lists conditions for additional-driver charges. Those are Avis-specific details, not universal rules. If an unfamiliar item appears, ask what it covers, whether it's optional and whether you requested it. Don't assume every difference is an error—or something you must accept.

A useful question is: “My confirmation shows this, but the agreement shows something different. Can you explain why?” If the agent agrees something needs correcting, ask to review the updated agreement before signing. If they say the difference follows a supplier rule, ask to see the relevant terms and how they apply to your booking.

If the discrepancy stays unresolved, ask the counter what options are available and what each would cost before choosing. For a booking made on Booking.com, keep that confirmation handy if you also need to contact Booking.com about the reservation. Don't assume a correction, cancellation or refund is guaranteed.

Keep the final agreement alongside your original confirmation so you have both if a question comes up later. If you spot the mismatch only after leaving, contact the rental company promptly using the details on your agreement, describe the specific difference and request written confirmation of any agreed change.
